Rapper and actor 50 Cent said via Instagram that he feels like a marked man after learning that an NYPD commander told officers to sh*oot him on sight.

“I’m afraid for my life,” posted 50 Cent, whose given name is Curtis Jackson.

“I haven’t been able to sleep since I heard of this. The c*ops never notified me of the th*reat. I’m closing all my business in New York. I may have to sue the city.”

The rapper’s tirade about the revelation that he was allegedly targeted began three days ago. In a series of Instagram posts, he makes several mentions of the commander – Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez – and posts snippets from New York Daily News articles that report that Gonzalez, who works out of a Brooklyn precinct, told officers at a roll call last June to “sh*oot him on sight” after he was expected to attend a Bronx boxing match.

“This is how I wake up this morning,” 50 posted at the time. “This guy Emanuel Gonzalez is a dirty c*op a*busing his power. The sad part is this man still has a badge and a gun.”

Next to a photo of Gonzalez, smiling and in uniform, the rapper posted, “This Gangsta got a badge, NYPD Commanding Officer Emanuel Gonzalez.”

The situation unfolded after Gonzalez allegedly issued his order about 50 Cent and one officer who was there sent out a text to other officers about it, the Daily News reported.

The text read, “The inspector just said at roll call if you see Kurtis Jackson (sic) (aka 50Cent) sh*oot on site … I’m like wtf,” the News reported.

Gonzalez later said the directive was a joke, according to the paper.

The News reports that an unidentified source said eight c*ops and a supervisor all say they heard Gonzalez make the remark during a roll call.

An NYPD spokesman said last week that the case was under investigation, the News reported.
