On Monday morning, a video went viral showing a teenage girl drawing derogatory images on a mural dedicated to late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Today, a local rapper took it upon himself to repair the damage.
Local artist and educator Joey Batts posted a photo on Instagram of him painting over the teen’s images. His Instagram caption read, “How I was raised? We don’t do things for clout. We fight for our community. Because that’s all we got.”
The teen known as “Kay Kay” who disrespected Nipsey’s mural has yet to give an excuse for her actions.
