The Wades made it a family outing on Sunday, heading to the Miami Beach Pride event. Gabrielle Union joined stepson Zion on a float while his older brother, Zaire, followed with baby Kaavia and other family members.
The entire family wore rainbow colors and mother and son had a ball singing together on the huge float. Afterwards, the family went out to eat at the R House in Wynwood, which features day drag performances. All of the fun can be seen on Gabrielle’s InstaStories.
Big brother Zaire was happy to be there for Zion, captioning a photo of them together, “Love you bro, no matter what. Gotcha back, kid. Support gang!”
And even though he couldn’t be present for the Pride event on Sunday (the Miami Heat had a game in Toronto), Dwyane sent his love and support to Zion and the entire family via his own InstaStories.
He captioned a photo of Zion and Gabrielle posing together at the event, “We support each other with Pride!”
He also captioned an image of Zion and Zaire embracing, “It’s a family thing.”
Zion had his on [sic] cheering section today,” Dwyane wrote of a group picture of Zion with family and friends at Pride.
“Wish i was there to see you smile kid!”
Last month, Dwyane showed support for Zion when the 11-year-old walked in his charity fashion show, “A Night on the Runwade.” Dwyane’s decision to do so garnered some criticism from men who felt he was allowing Zion to “bend and conform to societal pressures.” Thankfully though, most of social media shut down that type of negativity, and it’s good to see that Dwyane, Gabrielle and the family didn’t let it influence how they outwardly show love and support to Zion.
Once again, there were people who weren’t happy to see the support the family is showing Zion, but there were more than enough people applauding Gabrielle and Dwyane for being encouraging, loving parents. Hit the flip to see all the love and positivity coming their way online.
