When high school senior Kaylah Bell was unable to find a date for prom, her grandfather stepped in to make sure her memories of the milestone were flawless.

Bell shared the experience via Twitter on Sunday.

Bell told Yahoo even though she couldn’t secure a prom date, she wasn’t worried because she knew her grandfather, Alvin Hackett, would step in to take photos with her.

“My grandpa was the only one that I knew would dress to impress,” Bell shared. “So, I had asked him to take pictures with me.”

The school had an age-limit for prom attendees, but Hackett made his granddaughter’s prom a great day to remember before she even walked through the event’s door.

“Everyone was in awe,” Bell shared with Yahoo. “People were like, ‘You guys are so cute.’ Everyone knows my grandpa is important to me.”

Bell is set to attend Azusa Pacific University in the fall and she’s headed there knowing that no matter what, she can always depend on her dapper grandfather to have her back.
