Twin brothers, Deontae and Dontrae Wright, are a double dose of Black excellence. With a 4.5 GPA, Deontae has been named Scott High School’s class of 2019 Valedictorian. His brother Dontrae is less than one step behind him as the class’ Salutatorian with a 4.4 GPA.
What’s their secret? They told WTVG that they challenge and push one another.
“We both like to compete against each other,” Deontae said. He continued, “we want to score higher than each other.”
Their high marks also earned them full scholarships to The Ohio State University where they plan to study electrical engineering and minor in business. Their dream is to start their own electrical engineering firm where we’re confident customer’s will receive stellar service as their commitment to excellence and challenging one another continues.
Equally impressive, the twins managed to reach their academic goals while working two jobs and completing more than 70 hours of community service.
