Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is at her wits’ end with people mispronouncing her first name. The singer took to Instagram on Thursday to clarify whether her name is an abbreviation of Kandice.

In a video posted to her Instagram story, Burruss explained, “If you ever see me somewhere and you call me Kandice and I give you a weird look, it’s because that’s not my name, and it irritates the s**t out of me when people call me Kandice.”

Burruss captioned the post, “My name is not a nickname & it’s not short for Kandice. ITS KANDI!”

Aside from setting the record straight online, Burruss is on the road as part of her Welcome to the Dungeon tour. She recently discussed the adults-only tour during an interview with EBONY.

“I’m going to be bringing my celebrity friends to every city … we’re on stage, we’re dressed very provocatively …,” she said. “What we’re doing is pushing the envelope to where you’ve never seen before.”
