A daughter's love for her father has no bounds or limits - here's proof.

In December of 2016, Dawn Muhammad went on a secret weight loss journey to become a kidney donor for her father Lucious Daniels, who was diagnosed with stage five kidney failure in August of the same year.

Muhammad found out that her blood type made her a possible donor match for her father; however, her then body mass index (BMI) was too high to be considered an organ donor. So what did Muhammad do? She hired a personal trainer, changed her eating habits, and now 16 months later, has lost a total of 70 pounds.

She revealed to her dad back in April that he was the real reason behind her weight loss journey - which has since paid off in a major way. On June 2, Muhammad found out that she was a perfect donor match.

"I was at work and I received that phone call,” Muhammad said. “It was 9 in the morning when I got the call, and the first thing they said was ‘You are a perfect match with your father, you are a perfect match.’"

Muhammad's sister, Dekima Daniels Leaphart, took to Facebook on August 7 to share the good news.

The father-daughter duo are set to have transplant surgery at Atlanta's Piedmont Hospital on August 31.

"When it finally sunk in and I finally stopped crying all I could do is give her a hug and all the other family members were there and we hugged and thanked God for his blessings," Daniels said.

If this doesn't make your tear ducts swell, we don't know what will.
