Samantha Smith has decided to pay tribute to her brother and rapper Nipsey Hussle as his birthday approaches. Via social media, the aunt of Kross Asghedom and Emani Asghedom shared a photo of Nipsey and used this caption: “The Greatest to ever do it.”
Those, who support Lauren London and the Asghedom family, have been pouring love and positive energy to them during this difficult time.
One supporter said: “IMO he’s better than PAC. He released classic music and tried to help the community. Maybe I’m too young but can’t remember Pac doing sh*t for the community. Just being a big mouth obsessed with the gangster lifestyle. RIP Nip.”
This fan got emotional: “We just need to redo 2019 all over again.. the p*ain is still too much, too many tears 😔💔 🕊💙.”
Another commenter stated: “Don’t cry. It will be ok, Sammy! Remember he is always with you baby girl, watching over you! We love you, and we got you.😘🙏🏾🏁”
This backer revealed: “Period! And you, Lauren and the fam and US the fans won’t let anyone forget 😌🏁💙🏁.”
And after rumors started that The Marathon Store might be holding a special event to commemorate his birthday, many expressed interest in attending.
It was revealed shortly afterward that the store had no actual plans for a celebration of that kind.
The company issued an official statement confirming that they do not have any current intentions to host anything.
On the other hand, they do have plans to erect a statue in Nipsey’s memory, but that would require the temporary closing of the premises. The LAPD was also alerted of the situation and was preparing to deal with it, according to reports indicating that more than a hundred o*fficers had been placed on high alert.
Some of the rapper’s fans appear to be more reasonable on social media, urging others to refrain from anything that he would not have approved of himself. And considering his tight relationship with his community, they probably have a strong point.
Hopefully, nothing ch*aotic and disrespectful will take place in the area because it would likely do nothing but to tarnish the memory of the rapper despite the fact that people are actually trying to celebrate him as an artist, businessman, activist, and visionary.
