On most days, Pharrell Williams is adding his magical touch to a song or some other kind of artistic endeavor.

But on Good Friday the 46-year old star was all about giving back to his community when he, his wife Helen, and their son Rocket volunteered to help feed the homeless in downtown Los Angeles.

Williams has made it a priority to donate his time to the LA Mission several times a year, which usually includes Christmas and Thanksgiving events.

The family all donned red aprons as they stood under a large canopy and served up a hot meal that consisted of pork with an apple glaze, King's Hawaiian rolls, a side of mac and cheese and peach crisp for dessert, according to TMZ.

Pharrell worked the main the entree section of the food line, while his 10-year old boy helped organize and handout the disposable plates and cutlery.

Keeping a low-profile in a grey sweatshirt, baseball cap and sunglasses, the Happy hitmaker dished out food to some of the 4,000 people that were served at the annual Easter weekend event this year.

Pharrell's wife, Helen Lasichanh, helped hand out plates of food to those who had a hard time being mobile.

She walked around with a big beaming smile in an all-black ensemble that was capped off with a black and white polka-dot baseball cap.

Some of the other notable stars there to lend a hand included the likes of actresses Blanca Blanco, Jen Lilley, and Deidre Hall.

Blanco was part of the team that gave out out Easter baskets. All of the homeless were also given a pair of shoes.
