LOS ANGELES – A South Los Angeles woman who called herself “the most h*ated h*oe in L.A.” and admitted to c* oercing young women, including m* inors, into s* ex t* raffick*ing through v* iolence and i* ntimidation received a s* entence of 15 years in f*ederal p* rison Thursday, a*uthorities said.
Melanie Denae Williams received the mandatory minimum s* entence after pleading g* uilty in November to a single count of s* ex t* rafficking by f* orce, f* raud or co* ercion, according the the U.S. A* ttorney’s Office. She will also be required to pay restitution to her v* ictims.
As part of her p*lea deal, Williams admitted to r* ecruiting v* ictims, including m* inors, into c*ommercial s* ex t* raffick*ing, U.S. Department of J* ustice spokesman Ciaran McEvoy said in a written statement. She also admitted to a* bus*e of her v* ictim*s that included b* eatin*gs, th* reat*s and f*orcing one v* icti*m to g*et a tatt*oo Williams’ n*ame on her f*ace.
Through her social media, in which she used the m* oniker “Pretty H*oe” and described herself as “the most h* ated ho*e in L.A.,” Williams posted video that showed her b* eat*ing young women and th* reate*ning them with g* un*s, o*fficials said.
“Williams also admitted in the p* lea agreement to using the internet to r* ecruit two m* inors to e ngage in c* ommercial s*ex a*cts,” according to McEvoy. “Williams would then retain the proceeds from the m* inors’ s* ex a* cts for her own benefit.”
