May 24 marks National Brother’s Day and this year, Atlanta Black Star is commemorating the event by recognizing the brothers — big and little — of the stars who unexpectedly have male siblings in show biz. Founded by C. Daniel Rhodes, the annual event is a time where the famous and non-famous alike can acknowledge the bond they have with their brothers.

Syleena Johnson may be the singer of the family but when it comes to football, her brother Chad Johnson takes the cake. Syleena, 42, won major fame on Kayne West’s “All Falls Down.” Meanwhile, Ochocinco dominated the football field as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. They share the same father in late R&B icon, Syl Johnson.

Fantasia sh*ot to fame on “American Idol” in 2004 and rode a steady wave of relative success for a few years after the fact. However, she’s not alone in her singing pursuits. The 34-year-old has a 39-year-old brother named Kassim Vonricco Washington, known by the stage name Ricco Barrino.
Barrino released his debut album “Bubblegum” in 2006 and recently dropped a video for his new single “Baby.” Meanwhile, his younger sis premiered the video for her new song “Enough” earlier this month.

Wood Harris is not alone in being a Hollywood star. The 49-year-old actor counts Steve Harris as not only an older brother but also a fellow actor. Wood scored his first major film role in 1994’s “Above the Rim” and later starred in Disney’s “Remember the Titans.” He’s also known for “The Wire.” Meanwhile, 53-year-old Steve’s acting career began in the mid ’80s and he counts credits in “Sugar Hill” and “Homicide: Life on the Street” as some of his early credits. He also starred in “Diary of a Mad Black Woman.”
Recently, the Harris brothers have continued to act. Steve has appeared in the CBS All Access reboot of “The Twilight Zone” and Wood starred in last year’s “Creed II” as well as Fox’s series “Empire.”

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry may have just been named to the All-NBA team, but he’s not the only stellar basketball player in the family.
The 31-year-old’s brother, Seth Curry, is a 28-year-old player for the Portland Trail Blazers. The two recently faced off on the court during the NBA Western Conference Finals but big bro came out on top and swept the Trail Blazers 4-0. Still, no love was lost as the two traded jerseys and embraced each other after the fact.

While twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry, both 40, were the first in their family to shoot to fame with their sitcom “Sister, Sister,” they’re not the only performers in their family.
Fans know their actor brother Taj Mowry, 33, from his breakout role in “Smart Guy,” but the Mowry siblings have another brother named Tavior Mowry. The 25-year-old is the youngest of the group, and he’s been focused on producing music for the last several years. He recently released the second single from his album “Honey” under the stage name Dontae Adisa.
Usher and James Lackey

Usher has scored numerous hits after bursting onto the scene as a teen crooner, but his half-brother James “J. Lack” Lackey has at least one hit as a music producer. The 35-year-old, whose birth is the result of Usher’s mother’s second marriage, is responsible for Lloyd’s “Get It Shawty.” J. Lack has also lent his production skills to several of his 40-year-old brother’s tunes, the last coming in 2010 on “Raymond v. Raymond.”
