A kind US billionaire who settled student debts for university graduands has now started an internship program for underprivileged students. Robert Smith has launched a program dubbed InternX that will see students of colour bagging paid internships in STEM fields.


According to Fox 5, the companies participating in the revolutionary move include: AT&T, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Deloitte and CitiGroup. The tycoon first made headlines when he decided to wipe clean college debts amounting Ksh 4 billion for Morehouse College students in May 2019.

The philanthropist caught his beneficiaries by surprise and what followed was unbelievable admiration and applause. The online community also stepped in to sing his praise as everyone said they wished all tycoons followed in the billionaire’s footsteps. Seems like the rich are slowly helping the poor to climb up the ladder.
